OTA 103 and OTA 110 will meet twice during the semester on pre determined saturday mornings from 9:30-12pm.  Kathi will be in touch with each student who is registered once classes begin to schedule the time.
 
OTA 103 Fieldwork Level I meets for 5 hours during the semester and requires 40 additional hours of observation in a therapeutic/clinical setting to fulfill the class requirements. 
 
OTA 110 Fieldwork Level I Advanced meets for 5 hours during the semester and requires 40 additional hours of observation and hands on in a traditional or alternative fielwork setting to fulfill the requirements of the course. 
 
OTA 222 and OTA 223 Level II are each 8 weeks in length, on-site, full time clinical experience which is completed once all academic requirements are fulfilled. Kathi will assist you in FW placement.  In addition, an interview is required with the facility prior to confirmation of placement.
 
Each FW requires some level of supervision by a clinician or faculty member and is graded based on specific criteria.  Level II fieldwork is graded based on the AOTA recommened FW Performance Assessment.

*Clinical observation includes any class activity which occurs in the clinic
  • No open toe shoes
  • No excessive jewlery
  • No excessive fragrance, perfume/ cologne
  • No logo shirts/T-shirts
  • No tight fitting or belly exposed shirts
  • No shorts
  • Please review dress policy for Level I and II Fieldwork  with supervisor before arriving at the facility.  (This may include limiting number of piercings or require covering tattoos.  Each facility has its own requirements related to appropriate attire)
