Assists
TLC Residents in functional tasks (physical and/or cognitive) needed to reintegrate into the community at the highest level
of independence possible.
Qualifications: Associates degree in a Human Services field or equivalent, or six months to one year related experience and/or training,
or equivalent combination. Requires a working knowledge of routine tasks and activities of daily living. Knowledge of and/or
experience with traumatically brain-injured persons is preferred and exposure as a Nursing Assistant, Recreational Therapy
Aide, COTA or Physical Therapy Aide is desired. Must become CPR and Medication Administration Certified. Requires a valid
CT driver’s license and good driving record.
HOURS: 24 hours/week (with every other weekend rotation) |

Under
the supervision of an Occupational Therapist the COTA will carry out programs utilizing the specific treatment, supporting
the progress of the patient. COTA will support and participate in the department Quality Assurance.
Qualifications: High school diploma plus an Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy or related field or its equivalent and Connecticut
state license. Requires good working knowledge of technical Occupational Therapy techniques, good organizational skills and
the ability to think creatively. Experience preferred.
HOURS: |
40 hours/week (8 am-4:30 pm with occasional weekend rotation)
